Reflections of Friends is a mixed media wall piece composed of a series of abstract faces, each crafted from a unique combination of discarded materials. Mardi Gras beads, broken jewelry, doll hair, and other everyday scraps come together to form vibrant, expressive portraits. Each face represents one of the artist’s childhood best friends, celebrating their individuality, backgrounds, and the deep connection they shared growing up. The work is a meditation on friendship, diversity, and how the materials we discard can be transformed into something meaningful and enduring.
