Aspen is a sculptural tribute to the quiet strength and interconnectedness of nature, inspired by the aspen tree—one of the largest living organisms on Earth due to its vast underground root system. Constructed entirely from salvaged materials, the piece blends bike tires, foam tubing, and scrap metal with mesh wire, fabric, and discarded plastics to form a unified, tree-like structure. Just as aspens thrive through hidden connections beneath the surface, this work speaks to resilience, regeneration, and the possibility of new life from what we cast aside.
